People always say things about how they wish they could do something to change the world. For example, thousands of people join a cause through Facebook’s Causes application but go no further than spreading the word about an issue. Empowering Play has given me the chance to do more than just spread awareness. On top of spreading awareness, it has the goal of changing the way people think in order to prevent the problem of violence against women in the first place. I am working with a group of talented people and together I think that we can change the world for the better. Since I have started working on this project, every time I think about what this project is trying to do, I smile knowing that I am a part of it. I feel so lucky to be able to be on a project that has such great potential.
This feeling drives me to do the best work I can, which in turn helps me become better programmer, because I am striving for top-notch code. Empowering Play has changed my life personally by motivating me to become a better programmer. This will in turn help me get better grades and those better grades will help me get a job when I get out of school. My view on the world has also changed. I now know that there are chances to change the world. The ability to change the world in a positive way was right in front of me. I’m glad that I saw it.
